Join London Migration Film Festival

Are you passionate about migration? Do you have a unique event idea? We are looking for you!

At London Migration Film Festival, we believe in the power of collaboration and diverse perspectives. That's why we're excited to open up the floor to individuals, organizations, and creative minds to co-present events within our upcoming festival, scheduled from 23rd to 29th November.

Whether you envision a film screening, a thought-provoking panel discussion, an engaging workshop, a captivating performance, or any other creative event, we want to hear from you.

We welcome proposals that explore the intersection of migration with various themes, such as climate emergency, integration, parenthood, race, gender, representation, and beyond. Your event should embody the spirit of our festival by celebrating the diversity, humanity, and challenges inherent in migration.

No matter if you're an event planning novice or a seasoned organizer, we encourage you to submit your proposal. We value the fresh perspectives and insights that individuals at any stage of their journey can bring. Moreover, we invite organizations, both large and small, to join us in this collaborative endeavor.

To submit your event proposal, please email us with the following information by 15th August:

  • A detailed outline of your proposed event, highlighting its format, objectives, and key elements.

  • The target audience you envision for your event and how you plan to engage them effectively.

  • A compelling explanation of how your event connects with the concept of migration, showcasing its relevance and impact.

  • An approximate budget, considering the financial constraints of our limited resources.

You can send your proposal to themigrationcollective@gmail.com.

We are open to different forms of financial collaboration, let’s chat about it.

The festival is now at its 8th edition, and we have strong connections with a number of venues across London including cinemas as well as less formal spaces.

Our programme has a strong focus on film, but we always include other types of events (such as live music, theatre, comedy, exhibitions, workshops etc).

We particularly like to highlight issues that sit at the intersection of migration and other themes, such as climate emergency, LGBTQ+, mental health - be creative.

You can see what kind of events we put on last year here.
